Anniversary Party Fun!

The One-year Anniversary Bash was a big success! A lot of people showed up and everyone had fun painting on little canvases.

At one point we had more people who wanted to paint than we had room!

We had to set up an extra table for these painters. I felt like I was the hostess at a restaraunt trying to seat hungry people.

Today we had four new people at Paint Club. I love it when new people come to paint with us! The variety of paintings everyone worked on today was wonderful. We had a couple of landscapes, a dragon, dogs, abstract clouds, flowers, faces, waves, a portrait... many of us worked on more than one painting. It is nice to have a few things to work on. Sometimes you lose inspiration for your current painting, and just need to work on something else until it comes back. Of course the harder you try to get it back, the farther away it flies. Best to just pick up something else for a while.

One of the nice things about painting with other artists around is the advice that's available if you want or need it. Sometimes the solution can be as simple as "make the dragon's claws green"
(as was the case here), but you're just too close to see it.
